NECPWA York is the home of the York Branch of the North of England Classic and Pre War Automobiles Motoring Club. (originally founded as and formerly known to everyone as the North East Club for Pre War Austins.) The North's Foremost Classic Motoring Club. The club was formed in 1966.It is now the largest Historic Vehicle Club in the North of England with over 900 members and is a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.
This site is dedicated to club members from York and the surrounding areas. The branch holds several car rally events over the summer, evening meetings on the first Thursday of the month, coffee mornings on the third Tuesday of the month, various car runs and a Christmas meal.

Membership is open to any enthusiast of old motor vehicles and it is not necessary to be a vehicle owner to join the club, however attendance at Club organised rallies is generally restricted to vehicles built before September 2000. [NB some events may have individual entry rules with stricter age limits].
The Club's aim is to encourage the restoration and regular use of all Historic Motor vehicles produced anywhere in the world
